在她毕业工作,萨拉维尼可研究企鹅的小说写作,诗歌写作,非裔美国文学,19世纪到二十世纪美国文学。她的硕士论文,她写了一本短篇故事和诗歌,“一个单身女人的艺术。”Aside from teaching literature and creative writing classes in her area of study, Wienecke is committed to connecting students to a broader community by bringing in visiting writers and taking students to off-campus readings. For several years, she has also led or co-led trips for students to the Association of Writers and Writing Programs Conference. Wienecke is the faculty advisor for the Friends of English student club, which hosts off-campus and on-campus literary events.
